Joining as a New Skater
San Diego Roller Derby new skater bootcamp runs on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Our 6-session skater training program focuses on building foundational skills you need to play roller derby, including stopping, changing directions, crossing over, and skating in a pack.
Our goal is to build your confidence in the basics, so that you can safely join game play, and ultimately be ready to bout! Skaters are given the opportunity to test out of bootcamp at the end of the session, and join our active league members upon passing!

Referees and Non-Skating Officials
San Diego Roller Derby is always looking supportive individuals to help officiate scrimmages and bouts. Referees give points and call penalties and Non-Skating Officials keep the game running smoothly. This crucial job is the backbone of any roller derby league, and we will teach and train you. It's a great way to be involved with the league without the commitment of being a skater. Send an email to sandiegorollerderby@gmail.com to start your journey.
